Well, I’ve officially gone over 5,000 page views (5,177 to be exact, although each time you read this it’ll increase, so that would be 5,178…5,179…oh, for crying out loud, I can’t keep up).

Anyway, this milestone means that I’m only about half a gazillion page views behind the blogging King.

A chocolate cross???You walk into a Christian gift and candy shop and find a CHOCOLATE CROSS!! Are you kidding me? Is this what the message of Jesus’ sacrifice has become for us? A nibble of milk chocolate while we ponder the pain He endured? Surely it meant more than 3 oz of eating pleasure.  For crying out loud…

Time well spent

Family at El Ranchito

What a great day! Wendy was off all day from the Bookstore and we all spent the day together. Board games this morning, Mexican food for lunch, sipping coffee in the afternoon with my sister, and then a night at Sogo’s, a Japanese restaurant in nearby Concord, NC. All in all, a great way to spend Wendy’s birthday.

At least you’ve got time to get right with God

I opened my browser a few minutes ago (FireFox, of course) and was pleased to find that I don’t have to wonder anymore about when the world will come to an end.  A group of scientists has mercifully given all of us a hint about when it will be officially too late to call on Jesus to save us from our sins.  Apparantly we only have a billion years or so left, so don’t even think about waiting until the last second to get right with Jesus.

Just to be on the safe side, I wouldn’t even wait until the last millennium.  But hey, that’s me.  You do what you need to do.
