Chapter 35 is a great chapter of hope in a book that is generally full of despair.

Isaiah 39:4 – Hezekiah made the mistake of assuming that it was his wealth, not God’s

Isaiah 40:4-5 – I never saw this before, but the glory of the Lord comes after we have done the preparation for it. We make the valleys and mountains level.  We make the rough places smooth.  Then the glory of God is poured out.

DAY FIFTY (Isaiah 1 – 13)

As many times as I’ve read the passage about Isaiah seeing the Lord in chapter 6, I had never noticed that the living creatures didn’t say their words to the Lord.  Verse 3 says that they testified to each other about the holiness of the Lord and that testimony is what shook the pillars of the temple and led to Isaiah’s guilt being cleansed with the coal from the altar.

Isaiah 7:9 – faith is critical!

Isaiah 11 is a beautiful chapter that describes a kingdom of peace.

DAY FORTY-NINE (Ecclesiastes 3 – Song of Solomon

Ecclesiastes 11:1 – Investing is in the Bible…

Ecclesiastes 11:2 – and so is diversity in the portfolio!

Ecclesiastes 11:4 – the paralysis of analysis

Song of Solomon is a great book, and one that should be read out loud by every husband to his wife!

Proverbs 31:8-9 – The mandate for good and godly leaders
