I don't mind saying it. I hope the Pacers take out the Heat. #overrated

Hello, Binghamton!

Lost Dog CafeAfter a couple of short flights, Wendy and I arrived safely in Binghamton, NY. It’s an older town that is in the middle of trying to remake itself. It’s also the home of The Lost Dog Cafe, a local hole in the wall that Wendy and I will be checking out as soon as we can.

Funny thing about that, too (well, funny if you like ironic things as much as I do, and speaking of ironic, it rhymes with moronic and there’s a reason why). We’re here to attend a Church Planters Bootcamp and have been reading Planting Missional Churches by Ed Stetzer. The book talks A TON about how we need to be a part of places where the lost are that we’re reaching. So, when we asked one of the people at the conference where The Lost Dog was, they grimaced and said they’d heard it was a “night place,” which I can only assume means they’re open late and have lost people. As we walked away, I said to Wendy that I thought that was the point of what we’re reading. Anyway, we’re definitely going. Maybe more than once.

Hello, Binghamton.
