After a morning meeting and an impromptu lunch date with the B99, I hopped in the car and made my way to another appointment with a friend I was meeting at our town’s local coffee shop. When I was about half a mile or so from the shop, I suddenly did something that no one ever does anymore: I pulled over and offered a ride to a guy walking along the side of the road. After all, it was about 123° and he looked hot.
He also looked a lot like the guy I was going to meet.
The point? I probably wouldn’t have stopped for someone I didn’t know, but there was no way I was driving past someone I did.
Relationships matter.
They change how we think and how we act. They hold us to a level of accountability that is even more consistent than a once a week meeting where we ask 5 questions and wonder if anyone else lied. They cause us to see the world with a different lens, and force us to make better choices.
Relationships matter. Pour value into one today.
