Thirty years ago, The B99 and I said yes to each other. I’ll post something later on social media about it and a lot of people will like and love it. They should react to it because it’s a huge deal for a couple to be married for 3 decades.
(Ugh. Saying 3 decades hits different than saying 30 years!)
But the reason we’re celebrating a big day today is because we didn’t just say yes 30 years ago. We’ve said yes to each other on each of the 10,958 days since.
On the good days and the bad days.
On the fun days and the hard days.
On the days we remember because something awesome happened and on the days we can’t forget because something awful happened.
[Tweet “Lots of people want to celebrate big things without committing to the small things that make the big things possible. Don’t be those people.”]Lots of people want to celebrate big things without committing to the small things that make the big things possible.
Don’t be those people. Say yes to that person, that dream, that thing in your heart and never stop.
Do that long enough, and I can guarantee you that there will be big days ahead.
