Half full, half empty, or…
Is the glass half full or half empty? It’s a question that is supposed to measure our levels of optimism or pessimism, but for followers of Jesus, I think it completely misses the point.
It isn’t that the glass is half full or half empty, but rather that we have a glass to begin with, and it’s able to be refilled.

We have a glass when some don’t. No matter what is in your glass, the fact that you have a glass is a reminder that you are blessed.
The glass can be refilled. This simple realization shifts us from a mindset of scarcity to abundance! When we realize that what we have in the glass is given to us so others can be refreshed through us, we’ll stop trying to keep whatever we have in the glass. Whether it’s half full or half empty, it’s got something in it that we can use to bless others!
We don’t have to fear running out because those who hunger and thirst will be filled. And filled again. And again. And…well, you get the point.
