The worst offer

Reading Time: < 1 minute

What’s the most obvious thing to do when you see someone who needs help? For most of us, it’s offering to help, and while I’m not intending to discount that, I am suggesting that the offer to help is the worst offer.

Sometimes offering to help results in the person who already needs help being forced to add one more thing to their already overflowing plate: trying to figure out how you can help!

Sometimes offering to help allows us to feel good without requiring us to do anything.

Sometimes offering to help misses the point.

Today, keep an eye out for people who are in obvious need and don’t offer to help them.

Just help them.
