Expectation fuels experience

When we grow cynical, we become hesitant to get our hopes up.
But expectation usually fuels experience.
A crowd can show up to a concert expecting it to be amazing, and it probably will be, even if the singer isn’t at his or her best.
A crowd can show up to a concert expecting it to be mediocre, and it probably will be, even if the singer is at his or her best.
The expectation is more important than the performance.
Get your hopes up. Learn to live with an expectation that isn’t diminished by disappointment, but fueled by it because every closed door means you’re one door closer to something big!
