A month of “May I?”

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Hard to believe, but one-third of 2024 is out of here, and today we step into the month of May, and that seems like the perfect time for a challenge.

It’s a good thing I’ve got one in mind. Every day this month, I’m going to post some fairly unfiltered questions and observations about stuff that I think about.

Since I’m a pastor, some will deal with church stuff.

Since I’m a runner, some will deal with running stuff.

Since I’m a human, all will deal with human stuff (which sometimes gets ignored by that first category of stuff, but shouldn’t).

I’m also a follower of Jesus, or, to use a better description, an apprentice under Jesus. That means I want to not only learn what He taught, but live the way He walked. While I don’t always want my writing to be overly religious, I do want what I write to drip with His goodness, grace, and grit.

A month of maybes. A month of talking about a culture that can leave us dismayed. A month of, “may I write freely?”

Ultimately, I pray that these daily ramblings will result in you being aMAYzed at what happens when we simply say out loud (or, write down) the things that feel too risky to voice.

So, may we begin? Great! I was hoping you’d say yes. 😁

See you tomorrow.

“May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.” My May prayer for you and all who read this comment.
