Great job by the Blogging King putting this short intro video together for last month’s Ignite 08 revival. It definitely set the tone for the four night event and clearly communicated that this was so much more than just an event. It is the beginning of something big…

After months of planning, weeks of preparation, and hours of prayer, IGNITE is ready to happen tomorrow. We’re praying that God does some miraculous things in the lives of Stanly County students and that this 4 night rally is just a springboard to even greater events.

Big shout out to Phil Baucom who has been carrying a lot of the load getting this ready for liftoff. I’m sure he’s had a bunch of help, too, but it wouldn’t be happening without him. I can’t wait to minister on this stage.

I had the honor of sharing with an awesome youth group last night up at Main Street United Methodist Church in Kernersville, NC.  We got to play some pretty fun games like 4 Square, Drop the Keys, Do You Love Your Neighbor, and Sardines (you can see how to play these and more at That Youth Thing).  We enjoyed high caloric intake together around some pretty wicked sundaes, and then I got to share with them about how God wants to use them to reach their generation for Jesus.  All in all, it was a great night.

The best part of the night, though, was watching how they got along, especially how they made a point to look out for each other.  I was really blessed at how one young lady made it her personal mission to look out for another young man who could have easily been thrown aside as different from everyone else.  I’ll tell you what I told her: her example was one of the best I’ve seen of how we should love the body of Christ in the 2 and a half years I’ve been doing this traveling thing.  Having the brother that I had in Stephen made it all the more impacting.
