DAY THIRTY-FIVE (2 Chronicles 35:16 – Ezra 10)
I love what I read in Ezra 3:3! It just goes to show that God’s process in His kingdom really is inside-out from what we’d expect, because you’d have thought that they would have repaired the walls of the city first in order to be protected while they did the other rebuilding, but instead that rebuilt the altar and Temple before anything else. They were desperate for His presence and worship to be restored!
Ezra 4:1-5 – Notice the progression: they tried to sneak in (v. 2), then they tried to speak against (v. 4) and finally they tried to wreak havoc (v. 5). Our enemy is no different.
As The Gathering grows in it’s impact and influence, I’m praying that God gives us a letter like He gave the Israelites in Ezra 6. It gave them permission to build, and it provided that the cost of the project would come from the king’s treasury!
