It’s quiet.
The coffee is brewed. The candle is lit. As I sit to write, I sense the closeness of the One Who knows all and knows me.
He whispers in moments like these.
He draws close, and the quiet becomes holy.
He is here, and there is no need to shout.
“Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” (Psalms 46:10 NIV, emphasis mine)
In the stillness, I remember His faithfulness is greater than my faithlessness.
In the stillness, I remember His promises are greater than my problems.
In the stillness, I remember His grace is greater than my grief.
In the stillness, I remember His power is greater than my pain.
In the stillness, I remember that He is, and that He is enough.
So much more than enough.
