Yesterday I added a new routine to my workout.
Today I woke up with sore legs.
New rarely, if ever, equals comfortable.
When given the choice, my old jeans will always win out over the brand-new jeans because the brand-new jeans are stiff and hard to relax in.
God says a lot about new things.
He’s doing something new (Isaiah 43:19)
He’s making us new (2 Corinthians 5:17)
He’s making all things new (Revelation 21:5)
And He isn’t placing all the new things into old jeans with holes in the pockets and the knees.
[Tweet “God isn’t placing all the new things into old jeans with holes in the pockets and the knees.”]He’s going to give us new wineskins for the new wine that He’s pouring out in this new season (Matthew 9:17).
Don’t be surprised if it makes you feel a little sore. Anything — muscles or faith — that hasn’t been used for a while will always be sore when we start to build it back up.
New may not feel comfortable, but it will fuel strength.
