Newness

Reading Time: < 1 minute

That new car smell.
A newborn baby’s cry.
The first night in a new home.

The first day on a new job.
The first time you wear new jeans.
Developing a new habit.

Not all new things are created equal. Some are more enjoyable than others. Some require us to do something and others require something to be done to us.

But newness — whether enjoyable or not — always contains possibility. So embrace it. Endure it. Enjoy it. But don’t trade it in for the comfort of the old.
