One day till race day

Reading Time: < 1 minute

After 8 months of running and just under 600 miles logged, I wrap up my first calendar year of running with my first half marathon tomorrow. Looks like I’ll be joining close to 6,000 other people for a nice intimate run in Charlotte at the Thunder Road races.

This being my first and all, I’m not quite sure what to shoot for time-wise. I think I’ll have a couple goals:

  • first, my goal is to finish,
  • next goal would be to finish in under 2:30:00,
  • if I can do that, maybe I can finish in under 2:12:00, and finally
  • my “if all the planets align correctly” goal would be to break 2 hours.

It will be interesting to see how the whole thing plays out. I’m looking forward to it and will post when I’m done.
