Radiant

Reading Time: < 1 minute

What we look at affects how we look. Have you noticed this? If you haven’t, try this little experiment: go watch an action-packed movie with the Rock in it, and then observe how the men walk out of the theater. You’ll see chests out, shoulders back, stomachs sucked in.

Again, what we look at affects how we look. This raises the obvious question, doesn’t it? What are we looking at? If you’re depressed and anxious, you won’t get less depressed and anxious by looking at the faces of your depressed and anxious friends. We become what we behold.

Those who look to him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame. (Psalms‬ ‭34:5‬ ‭NIV, emphasis mine)

Did you see how looking at God changes how we look? We become radiant because He is radiant. Remember that changing how we look isn’t done by changing styles or getting a new haircut. It’s done by changing our view.
