Reading Time: < 1 minute
Ok, time to play a little catch-up on the blog entries. I’ve stayed current with the readings, but have gotten behind on the observations!
DAY SIXTEEN (Joshua 1 – 14)
If actions speak louder than words, then I wonder what the people’s pledge to “fully obey” Joshua the same way they fully obeyed Moses must have sounded like to Joshua. He was there, and knew that they hadn’t fully obeyed Moses. (Joshua 1:17)
I’d never noticed the difference between the crossing of the Red Sea and the crossing of the Jordan. For Moses, the waters parted, but here with Joshua they piled up on one side. (Joshua 3:13)
There must be a marked difference in our sons’ lives before they can take our places. (Joshua 5:7)
We’ve heard the story of Jericho a gazillion times, and how we often must shout before we see the walls come down in the difficult situations we face. But it’s equally important that we remain silent until we have fully obeyed the steps God has given us for victory. (Joshua 6:10, 15-20)
God, give me strategies and plans that I don’t know! (Joshua 8:2)
Age doesn’t diminish the fire of God or the fight for God!! (Joshua 14:6-12)
