The 12:34 phenomenon

Reading Time: < 1 minute

I’m not sure how far back it started, but it’s been at least 3 years ago.

On an almost daily basis, I’ll look up at the clock and see 12:34. Thankfully, it’s usually during the day and not the other 12:34. 🤪

After a few months of this, I started asking God what it was about. Why was that the time that I seemed to notice so regularly? What significance did it have for me? For our ministry?

His answer was short but powerful.

“Order.”

It wasn’t long after that when I read Luke 12:34. “Wherever your treasure is, there the desires of your heart will also be.” (Luke‬ ‭12:34‬ ‭NLT) It was another confirmation about order. Get your treasure in the right place first, and then your heart will follow.

Order matters. We don’t shower before we exercise. We don’t preach before we prepare (hopefully). We don’t study for the exam after we take it.

Take the time to evaluate the order of things in your life. Make sure that what matters most is what gets the most of you, and then trust that everything else will begin to fall into place.
