If you could only ask one person to pray for you, who would it be? I know it’s an odd question, but take a minute and think about it. If what you had to pray about was so important that you couldn’t risk it going unanswered, who are you texting?
Now consider this: you’ve already got it.
Romans 8:34 tells us that Jesus is at the right hand of the Father interceding for us.
I promise you that I wasn’t trying to trick you with that question about having one prayer and only being able to ask one person to pray about it, but now that you know that you’ve got the best pray-er — Jesus — praying the best prayer, aren’t you sitting a little taller in the chair?
He isn’t just praying for you, he’s also praying over you about what he’s done for you. Colossians 3:1 tells us that he is seated at God’s right hand, and in the Bible, being seated is something you do when you’re done.
He finished the work, and now he’s praying for us to live, work, play, and rest in that work.
Jesus paid for us and now Jesus prays for us.
[Tweet “Jesus paid for us and now Jesus prays for us.”]It’s the best prayer by the best pray-er, and you and I are the beneficiaries. Today, walk into every room, every situation, and every conversation knowing that Jesus is praying for you.
Let that fill you with confidence because we can count on that fact that the Father hears the Son.
