The Spring effect

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Our neck of the woods is in a stretch of some really nice days weather-wise. The sun and warmer temperatures have come after a pattern of rain, rain, and rain some more, so of course, everyone is enjoying it.

I noticed this during a walk outside with The B99 yesterday. It seemed as if every yard we passed had someone in it. Some of them were playing, some of them were working. Yards were being mowed and vehicles were being washed. All the activities were different, but there was activity!

That’s the effect that spring has on us — it makes us get out. We open the curtains. We drink our sweet tea on the porch. Spring is when it feels as if the whole world gets resurrected.

As I thought about that, I sensed the Father reminding me that I have the same resurrection power within me (Romans 8:11).

The same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead.

The same power that called Lazarus out of the tomb.

Because that Spirit lives within me, could I have the same effect on the world as the warmer temps had on my neighborhood?

Could the new life in me can call them out of darkness? I’m praying it does.

Resurrecting Spirit, I ask you to live in me and through me in all of your power. I want to see dead things come back to life simply because I carried you into hopeless situations, and you did there what you did in the garden. In Jesus name, Amen.
